Are you a fitness and wellness fanatic that wishes you could get paid to workout, eat healthy, and inspire others to do the same?!

Sounds too good to be true right? I thought the same thing when my friend first told me about this opportunity.

Are you wishing for more purpose, passion, or fulfillment in your life? Sick of the 10 vacation days a year and you just know there has to be MORE to life than what you’re currently doing? Have you ever thought what it would be like to “own your life” everyday?

“When you subtract out the sleeping time, commuting time, working time and things you have to do each and everyday of your life, most people don’t have more than one or two hours a day to do what they would like to do; and then, would they have the money to do it?”

When I first read that quote, I was like “Wow that’ me and so true!” and then it made me sad to realize how many of us our living our lives this way. I knew there had to be a different way, I just wasn’t sure how to do it! Once I learned, I’ve made it my mission to pass this forward to others by building a home (or wifi)-based business that we have a step by step system for and it’s so simple that anyone can do it. But not everyone will! It takes motivation, a new way of thinking, and discipline.

The world is changing by the minute and we need to keep up with the changing times and pace. Many businesses and companies are making money online and we can do the same. Have you heard of Passive Income or Residual Income? Making money while you sleep and do the things you love? It’s even better when that passive and residual income is something that you truly believe in, that fuels your soul, and lets you help other people with holistic health.

Residual income is the ability to get paid over and over for the work that you do one time. It’s also called “royalty pay.”

There are very few businesses or industries today that pay residual income.

Musicians, authors and insurance sales people are a few professions that do earn a residual income.

If you were to write or record a popular song, each time that song played on the radio, or a CD was sold, you would receive a commission, or royalty payment.

Residual income in Network Marketing is income you continue to earn based on efforts you put forth initially. Passive and residual income can be far superior to ‘paid by the hour’ income. When you are paid by the hour, you are simply trading time for money. And time is something that there never seems to be enough of.

Network marketing is a home based business model where both types of income are present. With some work and dedication you can build both passive and residual income streams in network marketing.

By doing something I love and believe in in the wellness industry, I’ve given myself more time and financial freedom to do what truly matters to me – spend more time with family, friends, and the ones I love. I’m building my life around things I love instead of everything evolving around work, bills, and vacation days. I want to truly LIVE and not just exist – and I want that for you too, in whatever way that looks like for you!

A little about my story…

In 2015 I was feeling lost in my 7-5 job. I had all the things on paper that would be considered the “American Dream,” but on the inside something was still missing. I craved more time freedom, community, and fun in everyday life.

In my life, I always followed a plan.

I went to school, played sports, went to college, got a degree, got a job, went back to college and got my Masters, and was working my way up the ladder quickly in Corporate America.

However, something was missing. I couldn’t shake this feeling that I had a deeper purpose. I needed more fulfillment in life.

I was already sick of the 9-5 (let’s be real, 7-6) Corporate work grind, which I was (in the grand scheme of things) JUST starting!

I can remember so vividly walking to the printer one day and just standing there staring out the window…

I wanted so badly to be able to be out in the sunshine and not go to work when it was dark and leave work when it was dark out again.

As a lifelong athlete, I knew I had a passion for fitness & health, and I also happened to love helping others.

The idea of another 50+ years stuck in a cubicle with limited vacation days and stressful days was not what I wanted life to look like.

I wanted something different, I just had no idea what. I honestly though that “Well, that’s just life, suck it up Emily.”

I wanted more freedom of time.
I wanted more out of life.

Then an opportunity came, ever so subtle. A fitness instructor at the gym I was going to asked if I had thought about becoming an online health coach. I had no idea what that meant, but I was intrigued. She told me more about it, and I really liked the concept of it.

Over the course of the next year, I started building my coaching business very part time, alongside my corporate career and going to grad school online-full time for my MBA. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what it would become, all I knew is that I absolutely loved it and found joy in that hour of my day.

Even though I was busy, I had this feeling in my gut telling me to go for it. I’m so glad I did because I immediately found that “missing piece” I had been searching for.

It was an opportunity for me to connect with other like-minded people, work on my own health and fitness and personal development, and it gave me more zest in my everyday life.

I found a community of like-minded people, more passion & fulfillment, and a job that I actually LOVED – one that could work around my life instead of my life having to work around it.

What are the requirements to become a wellness advocate / coach?

It’s important to know that a coach is a normal person. You don’t have to be a personal trainer, a fitness expert, a nutritionist, or even be at your “goal weight” to be a coach. You are, however, someone that is passionate, you want to inspire others to lead healthy and fulfilling lives, you are practicing what you preach, and you lead by example. You can be starting your health journey today or maybe you’ve been on your journey for years now. Regardless of where you’re at, you can be a coach.

I believe that the best coaches are self starters, positive leaders, and go-getters with an entrepreneurial spirit. They are high performing women that want to help themselves and others to live a more meaningful, happier life.

What do coaches do?

As a coach, we work on our own healthy journey while helping others do the same through products, tools, and resources. We have access to apps and tools that we can have all of our customers in. Think of it as an online health and fitness accountability group. These are private groups, and only the members can see what is being posted. Each day, my customers check into the group. I have a daily post that provides motivation, support, tips, recipes and things that have personally helped me in my journey. Each participant checks in daily – we share our struggles, our successes, and everything in between!

As a new coach, you do not have to run your first group on your own. I will co-lead it alongside you, or you can be a “mentee” in my group, where I will give you leadership opportunities to help get you into your role as a coach. There are also group guides that I have created for my coaches to use. So the system is in place, and no need for you to reinvent the wheel. You will just duplicate it with your own flair.

The groups are fun, they keep you accountable, and they will change the lives of your customers. It’s the most fulfilling thing to see your first few customers get results.

You can watch the 11 minute video above to understand what a coach does. If you are wanting to dive into the details more, hear my full story, and hear my own hesitations you can watch this 1 hour webinar below! I absolutely know this opportunity can change your life physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, and spiritually. It’s up to you from here!

What is the time commitment?

If you feel like you don’t have a ton of time to spare in your schedule, know that I felt that same exact way when I decided to start coaching. In fact, that was the only thing holding me back. I was working 50 hour weeks in Corporate America along with going to grad school online full-time. I already was stretched thin, but I couldn’t get the idea off of my mind.

I quickly realized that coaching activities were healthy, positive behaviors I only wished I would’ve made time for sooner — getting in a good workout, drinking a superfood shake, and focusing on personal development – those are really the biggest responsibilities that coaches have. These were truly all things that I wanted myself to be doing anyway, and things that made me so much better as a person, friend, and productive employee.

While I was coaching alongside my busy full time job, I didn’t always have the same amount of time to work on coaching tasks every day. I did, however, find at least some time everyday. I would make a running list of my coaching to-do’s to get done before work, during lunch and after work, and find pockets of time. For my first 8 months of this business, I worked from 9-10 or 9-11pm.

Finding pockets of time:

While I got ready for work, during my commute, and during my “mindless” tasks like cleaning or folding laundry, I would listen to some sort of personal development. Every minute counts and gives you such a good mindset for the day ahead. Audiobooks and podcasts really changed my mindset and made me better in my corporate role, too.

During lunch I would reach out to new potential customers (I honestly was making new friends online – pretty cool!) and start building relationships along with chatting with others about their goals. I also take this time to check in with my current challengers and answer my messages.

In the evenings, I would do the bulk of my work. I would answer any messages left, invite new friends to join my online fitness/nutrition groups, and invite people to do this business that I thought would make a great coach on our team.

It’s crazy how much time I really created once I eliminated my time suck habits like social media scrolling, Netflix, etc. Even with working a full schedule, you can make this work! You will realize that often times, it doesn’t feel like work — it is so fun and extremely rewarding. With a job I didn’t love and a grad program that wasn’t super fun, I truly looked forward to my hour of “coach work” at night.

The important piece to know is that you choose your pace with coaching. So whether you’d like to work this business as a hobby, a part-time business, or a six figure, full time income, all paths are possible. I will be your mentor, and I will match whatever pace you’d like to go to help you achieve your goals.

Team Community

I founded our coaching team that you would be part of, Team Exceed the Dream. It is a very collaborative team, and in the past 4 years we have finished in the top 0.1% of the entire coach network. Very cool! It is a group of high performing individuals who truly make me better every single day!

In time, as you grow your own business, you will eventually have a team of your own, but until then, know that you will be surrounded by an amazing group of people that will help you learn, develop, and become a better version of yourself.

COMMUNITY

The community of like-minded people is something I never knew coaching would provide me. However, when I got started, I quickly realized how impactful this was. With the coaching community, there’s always someone there by your side, celebrating your wins, getting you through the tough day, and just making the journey so much more fun. Fellow coaches who were strangers to me a year ago have now become my close friends. What I truly loved was having a community that was focused on health! In my corporate job (I worked as a Food Scientist) I was literally surrounded by food ALL. DAY. LONG. My co-workers didn’t understand why I didn’t want to eat every single donut and they thought I was crazy for waking up at 5am to train for ah alf marathon. Finding this online community of fitness freaks like me made me feel home for the first time in a while.

There are several travel opportunities that come along with coaching. I am someone who loves to travel, get to know people, and experience new things. Each year we have several travel opportunities, many that are completely covered if you work hard! We have a yearly conference “Summit” to learn and grow and reward trips to places like Punta Cana, Mexico, and more! I have earned 4 paid for reward trips in my 4 years – it’s possible to do in your first year! Fitness, friends, and vacations – talk about my DREAM job!

7 + 3 =

When I met Emily I had forgotten what it was like to really be passionate about the work that you do. I was going through the motions, but my heart was not in it. I would spend lunch breaks crying in my classroom.

When I discovered coaching, I knew it was something that was going to light my soul on fire. I was able to quit my teaching job because I could supplement my income with my coaching business. Now I wake up and look forward to work everyday.

It’s the best feeling in the world!
